WOMAN ESCAPES DEATH BY TRAIN TWICE IN TWO WEEKS

A speeding Amtrak train hit a car stuck on the tracks in Garner, North Carolina, on Sunday morning. Witnesses said a woman’s vehicle appeared to be stuck on the tracks after running through the crossing gate, despite it being in the down position with warning lights and bells activated. The train hit the back end of her car. She declined medical assistance at the scene. Emergency workers said the same car and the same woman crashed through the same crossing arm two weeks ago. That day, she sped across the tracks and struck a tree to avoid being hit by the train. Her car still had front-end damage from that attempt.
* Practice makes perfect.
* It’s always worth trying to beat those Amtrak trains, because they can take 30, 40 seconds out of your day.
* Does she fully understand the meaning of the lights and bells? Or does she think they’re just trying to make the crossing look pretty?
* You know what comes next: The woman sues the railroad.
* Clearly, this woman lives on the wrong side of the tracks.
* Time to switch to crossing over where there’s a bridge.
* Well, the governor can’t blame this one on transgenders.
* Give her some credit: running into a tree is better than getting hit by a train any day.
* Okay, I guess we’ll let this go, but if it happens again, there’s going to be some consequences.
* Trouble is, she’s had a train hit the front and back of her car. She hasn’t gotten the middle yet.
