SECURITY GUARD SHOOTS SELF IN LEG WAITING FOR JOB INTERVIEW
In Panama City, Florida, Travis Anthony Holland, 28, who works as a part-time jail guard, was waiting in his truck to interview for a part-time janitorial position at Oscar Patterson Elementary School. While waiting, he decided to clean his pistol. That’s when he accidentally shot himself in the leg. He was treated for the gunshot wound at a local hospital.
* This is exactly why more school employees should be armed – to be ready to shoot other school employees like this.
* To see how well he’d do as a janitor, the school wanted to see him clean the blood out of his truck.
* Does it count in his favor that he’s a stickler for cleanliness when it comes to his gun?
* I don’t know about Florida, but schools in Texas have started a bidding war for the guy.
* Does anybody ever just clean their guns without them going off anymore?
* I guess the best we can hope for is that next time he cleans his gun, maybe – MAYBE – he’ll empty it first.
* Nobody wants to take the time to read User Manuals anymore.
* Here’s another case where society as a whole benefits. Why? Because, if you apply for a job, you want the interviewer to wonder if you’re packing.
* “I must say looking at your résumé that you are an extraordinary applicant.”
* “We’ve received a lot of good applications for this job, but I’m still incredibly grateful that you came in today.”
* “Oh, and can I get you anything? How about some coffee?”
