HUNTER MISTAKEN FOR TURKEY

A 61-year-old Michigan hunter was shot in the arm with a crossbow after a fellow hunter apparently mistook him for a turkey. The man was shot early Sunday in the left arm while hunting on private land in Liberty Township. He was treated at a hospital. The 51-year-old Jackson man who shot him is expected to face charges.
* “I thought you were a turkey. A six-foot tall turkey dressed in Day-Glo orange.”
* He shot him in the left arm ’cause the right arm looked more like a pheasant, and pheasant season ended January 1st.
* As if this wasn’t bad enough, neither one of them went home with a turkey.
* He was shot by a crossbow? What century are they in up in Michigan?
* Do these guys know you can get a turkey right at the supermarket?
* The same thing happened one time to Robin Hood.
* That’s why they’re called crossbows. The man got hit with the arrow and now he’s cross.
* How many of you thought of Ted Nugent when you saw this story?
* I mean the part about the big turkey?
