FRENCH TEACHER CAN'T SPEAK FRENCH
A Houston, Texas, high school French teacher has been accused of not being able to speak the language he’s been teaching his students. Albert Moyer has been teaching at the Houston Independent School District’s Energy Institute High School, where one student said that the only word Moyer knows is ‘bonjour’. Moyer was hired to replace Jean Cius, a certified French teacher for more than 25 years. Monsieur Cius was removed from the school after a dispute in December, and Monsieur Moyer was assigned to replace him. Moyer said that the extent of his French education was just one year in high school.
* What’s the French word for “busted”?
* Here’s a French word the high school administration should learn: résumé.
* Speaking of the teacher’s résumé – maybe he should teach Creative Writing?
* French teachers don’t speak French, presidential candidates don’t know how to president. It’s all part of the new America.
* Let’s look at the bright side: at least there’s no worries about the teacher being over-qualified.
* So the teacher and the students are all learning together. What’s wrong with that?
* The guy said he took a year of high school French? Okay, but you can actually become dumber doing that.
* The only word he says he learned was “Bonjour”? Naa, I bet he knows the French word for “paycheck” too.
* The closest this guy ever came to French is when he ordered French fries at McDonald’s.
* PHONE TOPIC: “I Don’t Know What I’m Doing.” Were you ever in a position where you had no idea how to do the job?
