BOY STEALS CEMENT TRUCK, LEADS COPS ON CHASE

In Dodge Center, Minnesota, an 11-year-old boy stole a ready-mix concrete truck and smashed two police cars as he led officers on a high speed chase at speeds up to 70mph. The boy, whose name has not been released, stole the cement mixer around 3pm on Sunday from a contractor who had left the keys in the vehicle. The truck lost its front right tire at one point, but that didn’t stop him from driving through residential streets for more than an hour before he was stopped. Said Dodge Center resident Troy Flatness, who witnessed the chase. “He was smiling, hooting and hollering…he was having a good time.” The chase eventually ended when the boy drove into a dead end and was arrested when he tried to flee on foot. No one was injured in the chase.
* But if anybody needs some well-mixed concrete, I’ve got a phone number for you.
* His reputation as a troublemaker has been cemented.
* Wow, only 11 and already somewhat of a legend.
* Do you bother with a learner’s permit after a deal like that?
* The concrete wasn’t the only thing that sounds really mixed up.
* Wait, the keys were left in the truck? This is a clear case of entrapment.
