PRISON FIGHT CLUB
Two Northern California sheriff’s deputies and a former colleague were charged Tuesday with involvement in setting up fights between jail inmates to gamble on them. Former San Francisco Sheriff’s deputy Scott Neu, 42, Deputy Eugene Jones, 45, and deputy Clifford Chiba all face charges. Deputy Neu, the alleged ringleader, is charged with threatening to mace, cuff, Tase or beat two inmates if they refused to fight on March 5, 2015. The two inmates were also alleged to have been forced to fight the following day as well. One of the two inmates allegedly suffered an injured rib during the fight. The incident came to light when one of the inmates broke the first rule of Prison Fight Club and told his father of the alleged fights and the father, in turn, told the city’s public defenders’ office, which launched an investigation.
* What a bunch of rope-a-dopes.
* This is just like that prison movie. Actually, it’s like every prison movie.
* Wow, and I thought it was mean to do this with roosters.
* It’s gonna be interesting when those three go to jail.
* This is trying way too hard to be cruel and get in trouble.
* If you want to gamble, just do it like the rest of us: play the lottery.
* It’s probably some small backwater town…wait, did you say San Francisco?
* Time for another meeting of Internal Affairs.
