ROBBER: I'M JUST MESSING WITH YOU
Dayton, Ohio, police arrested a man for attempting to rob a food store Wednesday morning. The man, armed with a knife, was wearing a black mask over his face when he walked into Sammy’s Food Mart and told the clerk to hand over money. The worker, who had only been there two months, was in a locked area behind the register but the glass was open. She can be heard on security tape asking the robber several times if he is kidding, and the robber responds, “No.” A moment later, the robber starts laughing, pulls off his face mask and says, “I’m just messing with you.” The clerk yells at the robber to get out. He apologizes, and he can be seen walking out. Police arrested Benny Hamilton, 31, who is also suspected in a robbery at the same store on February 21.
