18-YEAR-OLD PRETENDS TO BE A DOCTOR, THREE TIMES

An 18-year-old South Florida teen was arrested Tuesday and charged with practicing medicine without a license after allegedly setting up a fake medical practice and passing himself off as having a Ph.D. Malachi Love-Robinson was arrested after he allegedly performed an examination on an undercover agent and offered medical advice. He had been operating a medical office in West Palm Beach since January 26. The teen allegedly named his practice New Birth New Life Holistic and Alternative Medical Center & Urgent Care and claimed to be a doctor of psychology. Love-Robinson had been investigated at least twice before. In January of last year, he allegedly donned a doctor’s coat and roamed the halls of a local hospital. This past October, Love-Robinson was issued a cease-and-desist order after he allegedly operated another fake medical practice in Boynton Beach.
* Authorities say their first clue was when, instead of asking how you’re feeling, Dr. Malachi would say, “Whassup?”
* And in the middle of an exam, his mom would call him upstairs for dinner.
* His nickname isn’t Doogie Howser by any chance?
* Maybe he can still play doctor with his cellmate.
* How about the name of that clinic? New Age enough for you?
* New Birth New Life Holistic and Alternative Medical Center & Urgent Care. The “Urgent Care” part is in case you have an emergency with one of your chakras … or your ectoplasmic aura … or one of your energy crystals breaks.
* “I can’t prescribe any drugs, I can’t order any tests, but I can rub magnets on you where it hurts.”
* The sad thing is if he had opened a clinic with that name in California he would have gotten away with it.
* This is the third time? Why fight it? Let’s put the kid in med school.
