TV WEATHERGAL BUSTED FOR POT AND GUNS
A Paducah, Kentucky, TV meteorologist faces felony charges after police uncovered a marijuana grow house and a cache of guns and ammunition at her home. WPSD-TV reporter Tori Shaw, 32, was arrested with her husband, Tyler Smoyer, 35, Tuesday. State police also recovered drug paraphernalia and seven pot plants inside and outside of their home in Mayfield. The weapons included six long guns, two pistols, two silencers, eight storage boxes of ammunition, as well as a tactical vest. However, viewers are supporting Tori; a Facebook page titled “I Support Tori Shaw” had more than 800 members as of Wednesday morning.
* Well, that should make it easier to round up her customers.
* I forecast cloudy skies and an 80% chance of incarceration.
* So I guess TV meteorologists don’t make as much money as I thought.
* Kinda makes you wonder what the sports guy might have going on the side.
* Guns and a grow house in Kentucky. Go figure.
* I thought that was all standard-issue in Kentucky. You get handed those things when you leave the post-natal unit at the hospital.
* How does seven pot plants turn into “a marijuana grow house”?
* The grow house angle is so hyped up. Then it says some of the plants weren’t even in the house.
* It does explain why so many of her forecasts included the word “mellow.”
* Plus she described a recent cold front as unusually harsh and gnarly.
