DUI DRIVER CLAIMS TO BE THE KING OF SCOTLAND

A man who was arrested last week in Longmont, Colorado, in a possible DUI case told police he has diplomatic immunity because he is the king of Scotland. Nicholas James, 35, faces possible charges of DUI and drug possession in the February 8th incident. James allegedly was swerving when he driving down Main Street and when police tried to pull him over he didn’t do so until a mile further down the road. Police said he had a knife and prescription drugs in his car. James told cops he should be referred to as the “Heir to the Throne of Scotland” and “King Solomon.” He said he shouldn’t be arrested due to his status.
* Bet it was the Scotch talking.
* “I’m not slurring. That’s my accent.”
* I thought Forest Whitaker was the King of Scotland?
* If he really was the King of Scotland, he’d have been driving down the left side of the road.
* They had to pull him over before someone got kilt.
* Come on. Everybody knows the real king of Scotland is Sean Connery.
* Hey, you come up with your story and you give it a shot. What was the guy supposed to do?
* I like how he stuck to his story, requesting a jail house meal of haggis.
* Okay, the guy may not be the king of Scotland but he is a royal pain.
