TACO BUENO JOB APPLICANT STEALS CAR ON THE WAY OUT
In Kilgore, Texas, 30-year-old Courtney Cordell Wheat filled out a job application at the local Taco Bueno, then stole a car from the parking lot. Customer Brandon Jones got to his car, realized the restaurant had forgotten part of his order, and ran back inside, leaving his car running. When he came out, he watched as someone drove away in his car. An employee at Taco Bueno said, “He just put in an application.” Wheat was located through the information he left on the job application.
* That was not a very bueno thing to do.
* The guy’s resourceful. That should account for something.
* So did they hire him or what?
* Where the job application said “Have you ever been convicted of a felony,” he wrote “Not yet, but I’m trying.”
* There’s those three names again like he’s serial killer or something.
* Look, the dude needed a ride home. Cut him some slack.
* There’s almost enough here for a country western song.
* So other than screwing up the customer’s order and getting his car stolen, how were the tacos?
