BROTHERS FIGHT WITH KNIFE, CAULKING GUN AND A SHILLELAGH

Two North Fort Myers, Florida, brothers got into a fight involving a shillelagh, a knife and a caulking gun. Daniel Ehrhardt, 35, told deputies that his brother, Karl Ehrhardt, 39, had hit him with the shillelagh, an Irish wooden club. Daniel told deputies he had just moved in with his brother after he was evicted from a previous address. He said Karl had gone to Wal-Mart and used all the funds on his EBT, sparking an argument. However, Karl told deputies that his brother gave him the EBT card to use, and when he returned from Wal-Mart Daniel started berating him and approached him in an aggressive manner holding a knife, and punched him above the eye. Karl then threw a caulking gun at Daniel but missed. The two began trading punches and Karl said he picked up the shillelagh and hit Daniel, who was still holding a knife. Oh – and both brothers told cops they had used Molly, a synthetic, psychoactive drug also known as Ecstasy.
* First … who the hell wastes a hit of Ecstacy on a trip to Wal-Mart?
* A shillelagh, a knife and a caulking gun. This is like Police Report Mad Libs.
* A shillelagh, a knife and a caulking gun. This sounds like the game Clue, although you know neither of the brothers have one. A clue, I mean.
* I guess if a gun is going to be used during a family altercation, you’d rather it was a caulking gun.
* You can tell from the story these guys are not the best housekeepers.
* This sounds like an assault version of the 12 Days of Christmas.
* “On the first day of Christmas my brother threw at me…”
* Instead of the 5 golden rings you get 5 years in jail.
* And the partridge in a pear tree is your court-appointed attorney.
