BURGLAR FALLS THROUGH RESTAURANT CEILING ONTO DINER
A burglar fell through the ceiling of a restaurant onto a man eating dinner at the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet in Daytona Beach, Florida. Police say Justin Grimes, 30, was attempting to steal money by climbing through the bathroom ceiling to make his way to the manager’s office. Diners told the restaurant’s manager, Bi Liu, that they heard noises in the ceiling. Liu went to his office to check the surveillance system and found broken ceiling tiles, dangling wires and a pair of flip-flops. But the money was safe, still in a lock box. Liu called police and that’s when Grimes fell through the ceiling in the middle of the restaurant and landed on a diner. Grimes started running, but his escape was thwarted when he was tackled by another patron. Grimes suffered multiple injuries from the fall and was transported to a hospital before being arrested.
* Hibachi? More like hib-ouchie!
* I’ve heard of egg drop soup, but never burglar drop soup.
* “Okay, who ordered the upside down burglar?”
* On the bright side, at least the noises in the ceiling wasn’t rats.
* If only he had lost that extra twenty pounds over the summer like he planned.
* Wasn’t this a Beatles song? “He Came In Through The Bathroom Ceiling”?
* It could have been worse. He could have landed on the grill.
* “Waiter, there’s ceiling plaster in my soup.”
* Then a few seconds after he hit, everyone in the place said, “Check please.”
* “Would you like handcuffs with that?”
* Actually, for the other diners, this was like dinner and a show.
