WOMAN SHOT BY DOG NAMED TRIGGER
A northern Indiana woman is recovering after being shot in the foot by her dog. The dog’s name is Trigger. 25-year-old Allie Carter of Avilla laid her 12-gauge shotgun on the ground without the safety on during a waterfowl hunt Saturday. Carter’s chocolate Labrador retriever, Trigger, stepped on top of the shotgun and depressed the trigger. Carter was shot in the left foot at point-blank range, suffering injuries to her foot and toes. She was treated at two hospitals and released.
* Injuries to her left foot and toes? Yeah, you could say that.
* You could also assume she doesn’t have much left of her foot and toes.
* I wonder if Trigger retrieved her toes after he blew them off?
* I’m just glad she didn’t name the dog Grenade.
* later, Trigger was cited for hunting without a license.
* The worst part was all the geese and ducks laughing in the background.
