MEN SHOOT UP HOME, TRUCK
Officers in Meridian, Idaho responded to a report of numerous gunshots at a residential home. Police found 21-year-old Eric Leal standing next to a Ford pickup with a loaded Ruger nine-millimeter handgun on the seat. There were at least four bullet holes in the truck, all of which had come from inside the vehicle. Inside the house was 30-year-old Beau Leeper, lying on a bed with an AR-15 rifle and a .45 caliber handgun next to him. Officers found more than a dozen bullet holes inside the home. Some of the rounds had been fired through a closet, while others had hit pipes in the crawl space of the home. Both men were under the influence of alcohol, and did not have an explanation for why they shot up their home and the pickup, which was a work truck. They were both arrested and charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits and resisting and obstructing an officer. “It appears that they were both drunk idiots,” Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea said.
* Good times!
* Now this is the Idaho we know and love.
* No word on whether either of them was working on a manifesto.
* Well, it’s too late now, but they COULD have said, “There was a mountain lion in the closet that ran under the crawlspace …”
* Some kind of extreme version of “Marco Polo”? One player stays in the house, the other player circles around outside in a truck …
* So the one guy shot his truck from the inside? Well, you got to admit, it would be hard to miss.
* There weren’t just under the influence of alcohol. They were hammered.
* Now to be fair, some of the bullet holes could be from earlier shootings.
