MAN FIRED FOR FARTING TOO MUCH
A New Jersey pork roll company that fired a man for passing gas one too many times is now being sued by his wife. Louann Clem, who worked at Case Pork Roll Co. in Trenton with her husband, Richard Clem, filed a federal lawsuit last month that details her husband’s struggle to recover from gastric bypass surgery that caused him to experience “extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea.” The president of the processed meat company, Thomas Dolan, was not happy with constant smell of Richard’s emanations. Dolan allegedly told Louann that “This can’t go on. We can’t run an office and have visitors with the odor in the office,” the lawsuit says. Richard was fired for his fart problem on Feb. 28, 2014, and his wife cut ties with the company the same day due to all the “harassment and discrimination” directed toward her husband, the lawsuit says. Mrs. Clem is suing the Case Pork Roll Company under the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.
* It takes a special woman to stand by a guy like that. Or even in the same room.
* This begs the question, how much is too much farting?
* Ironically, if he were to get hired at one of those refineries in northern New Jersey, people would be lining up outside his office to come in for a while.
* Maybe they could hook his ass to a power plant.
* Let us know if he wins the lawsuit, so the rest of us can start farting whenever we please.
* If I’m the company lawyer, I’d go for a jury trial and ask for a small enclosed courtroom.
* You got to give him some props. I mean everyone farts, but how many people can impact an entire office building?
* PHONE TOPIC: Have you got a smelly person in your office? How do you handle it?
