MAN WHO SAYS EVIL TWIN ROBBED STORES GETS 60 YEARS

A Pennsylvania man who claimed at trial that his “evil twin” robbed 10 gas stations, convenience and beer stores will be spending at least 60 years in prison. Steven Felton, 34, of Emmaus, was sentenced to 62 to 124 years on Monday. Lehigh County Judge Kelly Banach said she was offended by Felton’s arrogance. A jury last month convicted Felton in the 10 robberies in the Lehigh Valley, all of which occurred during the fall of 2012. Most of the heists were caught on video, which clearly showed Felton’s face as he wielded a pellet gun. Felton claimed it was his “evil twin.” Prosecutors had asked for a long sentence because some traumatized clerks are unable to return to work due to Felton’s “reign of terror.”
* The evil twin defense fell apart because the guy in the surveillance video didn’t have an evil beard.
* Folks, if you want to try this at home, you’ve got to grow the beard, commit the crimes, and then shave before they catch you. Do your homework, people!
* On the other hand, if you live in this town, and look anything like this Felton guy, you can now grow a beard and go nuts!
* One thing’s for sure: the judge is sick and tired of the evil twin defense.
* Now the guy is appealing on the grounds that it wasn’t the real judge – it was the judge’s evil twin.
* What’s the deal? Aren’t there any NICE twins?
* That’s when you know you have a personality problem. When you’re such an arrogant jerk that the judge adds years just for that.
* If he had been pleasant in court, he could have killed someone and gotten less time.
* Something tells me that Judge Kelly is getting even for all the arrogant bastards she’s met along the way.
