MAN KILLS UNCLE OVER A FIGHTING CHICKEN

A wounded nephew killed his uncle in a shoot-out over a prized pet fighting rooster. The incident happened early Wednesday at a mobile home near Decatur, Tennessee. Killed in a 2 a.m. hail of gunfire was Timothy Johnson, 52, whose body was found in the driveway. His seriously wounded nephew, Larry Eugene Johnson Jr., 28, was inside the trailer when authorities arrived. The rooster, reportedly named “Bubba,” had been Timothy Johnson’s “pet” for several years. The bird was found tied to a chair outside the trailer. The bird was unharmed and left with food and water within reach. “I guess that’s the way these people keep their chickens,” Sheriff’s Office Investigator Alex Clary said. “I’m having a hard time believing it was over a chicken.”
* But the rest of it – trailer park, relatives, guns, Tennessee….not so hard to believe.
* Was there alcohol involved? If not alcohol, maybe KFC?
* He killed his uncle over a rooster? That’s nothing to crow about.
* They were one hound dog away from every trailer park cliche known to man.
* And that’s when the tornado hit.
* The rooster’s name was Bubba? What am I saying? Of course it was.
