FEMALE SHOPLIFTERS DROP CHILD WHILE FLEEING, KEEP GOING
In Peoria, Illinois, workers at a Walmart Supercenter alerted police that three women were observed exiting the store with stolen merchandise. When approached by a loss prevention employee, they ran, and one of the women dropped a small child. They kept running with their stolen stuff. Police arrived and arrested Ashley L. Nichols, 20, and Mattica Brock, 30, on suspicion of retail theft and endangering the life of a child. The third woman got away. Police said the dropped child appeared uninjured. Additional children had also been left unattended in a vehicle during the incident.
* Well, this is a disgrace. Obviously, they should have locked the kids in the trunk during the robbery.
* I count 17 different charges before you even get to the robbery part.
* There’s enough people involved in this to charge them with organized crime.
* Oh sure, the loss prevention officer … otherwise known as the security guard.
* A Walmart Supercenter? What’s that? Like a black hole that sucks in other stores?
* You can drop the child but don’t expect us to drop the charges.
