WALMART TO SELL DON'T-FORGET-YOUR-BABY CAR SEATS
Walmart has signed an exclusive one-year deal with Evenflo to sell a $149 car seat that sounds an alarm when a car ignition is turned off while a baby is strapped in the car seat. The new car seat is aimed at keeping parents from leaving their child behind in a hot car. The Evenflo car seat uses a battery operated wireless receiver that is embedded in the chest strap clip.
* Or you can just be a good parent. Your choice.
* This is great, ’cause now parents will want to take their kids out of the car seat while the engine’s still running.
* Why not save $149 and put a Post-It on your steering wheel?
* Or get one of those “Baby On Board” signs and wear it around your own neck?
* A one year deal. That shows some real confidence, doesn’t it?
* Amazon just passed Walmart as the biggest retail store in the world but that was before Walmart came up with this idea.
* Sure, another electromagnetic field around a growing baby. What can go wrong there?
* Ahh, it’s Monday and I’m grouchy. Let me try again: What a thoughtful idea. Best of luck with it.
