BURGER KING PAYS FOR BURGER-KING WEDDING
Ashley King and Joel Burger married in what may be the first wedding sponsored by Burger King. The two met in kindergarten in New Berlin, Illinois, and finally tied the knot on Friday at a local Burger King restaurant. Burger, a grain inspector, proposed to King in October. They published an engagement announcement in their local newspaper with a photo of the pair behind a Burger King sign as a joke. Once Burger King caught wind of the couple, the company told them that they would pick up the wedding tab. “When we heard that Joel Burger and Ashley King were engaged, we knew it was going to be a once in a lifetime celebration,” Burger King said. The company also provided for personalized yo-yos, Mason jars and Burger King crowns in gift bags.
* And that night, on the honeymoon, he gave her In-and-Out … burgers.
* He got the fish sandwich, and she got the Whopper.
* How hot was it? The words “flame broiled” come to mind.
* And the couple lived happily ever after in a White Castle.
* They celebrated their wedding with relish.
* They met in kindergarten? Wow, get out much?
* Burger King picked up the tab for a wedding in one of their restaurants, which must have cost literally dozens of dollars.
* This will all seem great ’til you get to divorce court later.
* “Then, your honor, he made me marry him in a fast food restaurant!”
* Let’s up the game here a little: We need someone named Neiman to marry someone named Marcus.
* Oooh, personalized yo-yos? They pulled out all the stops, didn’t they?
* Unfortunately, the kid at the counter got their order wrong, and they’re now married to other people.
