MACARONI SALAD TRAIL LEADS TO RESTAURANT BURGLARS
A trail of macaroni salad led police to three suspected burglars in Mt. Morris, New York on Sunday. Deputies responded to Build-A-Burger around 6:30 a.m. after the owners reported their surveillance system and cash was missing from the restaurant. The investigation led to a nearby greenway path where police found cash register parts, surveillance system parts, rubber gloves, loose change and a steady trail of macaroni salad, which the suspects took turns eating along their escape route. Arrested were Matthew P. Sapetko, 34; James P. Marullo, 35; and Timothy S. Walker Jr., 23.
* That’s usin’ the ol’ noodle, officers.
* See how important it is not to be a sloppy eater?
* It’s the same way they locate Mike and Molly on the set: by the trail of macaroni.
* The place is called Build a Burger? We have to do everything in this country anymore.
* How about the restaurant build it and we eat it?
* The trio has since been charged with felony carbohydrates.
