POLICE BUST DONATION BIN GANG – June 26

The Rescue Mission in Altoona, Pennsylvania had a problem with several of their clothing donation containers being stolen from locations throughout the area. Officials with the rescue mission placed a tracking device inside one of the donation bins. After the container was stolen, the device led police to a property where they found numerous donation containers. Some containers had already been emptied. While on the scene, a white box truck and white van arrived, and four men in the vehicles were arrested. In all, police recovered 45 donation containers, worth approximately $90,000, belonging to multiple organizations from across the country. Police also recovered roughly four semi-trailer loads of donated merchandise.
* Containers aside, what exactly are the charges for stealing stuff that people don’t want?
* It’s garbage if you don’t want it, but when someone else takes it, it’s vintage.
* It must have looked like Cyndi Lauper’s closet from the 1980’s.
* As punishment, the suspects had to find a way to get rid of four semi-trailers of unwanted clothing.
* Maybe dump their contents outside the production offices of Antiques Roadshow.
