MAN DRIVES INTO DONUT SHOP BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSED – June 5

On May 27, a California man deliberately crashed his car into a closed donut shop in the Simi Valley. Surveillance video shows a gray Chevrolet Tahoe pulling into the parking lot around 3:30 a.m. before the driver exits and tries several times to open the front door of the Donuts Plus shop. Failing to get inside, the man can be seen throwing his arms up in frustration before returning to the SUV and driving into the front door several times. He then backed out and drove away. The owner of the donut shop was, in fact, in the back of the shop making donuts. Police later located the heavily damaged Tahoe and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect backed into a patrol vehicle twice before accelerating directly toward an officer, who jumped out of the way. The pursuit ended when he crashed into a wall. And then, as police moved in to arrest him, he threw a knife at them. They arrested 58-year-old Frank Blessing, who told police he drove into the donut shop because he was upset it was closed.
* Who can’t sympathize with this guy, not getting his donut and coffee in the morning?
* Sure, he could’ve gone to 7-Eleven and gotten some Little Debbie Mini Donuts, but – y’know – yuck!!!
* As for the shop owner: Try a Post-It note on the front door – “Making donuts. Ready at 5 a.m.”
* Now the donuts AND the shop have a hole in them.
