AUDIO: MICHAEL PHELPS TO GIVE SWIMMING LESSONS TO THE BALTIMORE RAVENS

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey posted a video Tuesday asking Olympic icon Michael Phelps (* 23 Olympic gold medals!) to teach the team how to swim. The video featured Humphrey, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, safety Kyle Hamilton and tight end Charlie Kolar inside a pool at the Ravens’ training facility. The players say, “Hey Mr. Phelps, we have a problem. Did you know that 1 in 3 Ravens cannot swim? Come to Ravens training camp and this beautiful aquatic center and teach us how to swim.” Phelps, a lifelong Ravens fan, responded Wednesday by writing: “I got y’all! Let’s do it.”
* “And wear the Speedo,” they demanded, which was a little weird.
* Next step after learning to swim: Water polo.
* If they all do well, he’ll buy them a Rocket Cone at the pool snack bar.
* After the Ravens, he needs to go help the Patriots, because they were barely treading water. (or the Titans, Raiders, Browns, Jets, Giants, Bears, Saints. Or all of ’em!)

SPINAL TAP MOVIE COMES WITH NEW ALBUM, GUEST STARS

The upcoming movie sequel “Spinal Tap II: The End Continues” will also have a soundtrack album. “The End Continues” features 13 songs, including remakes of four songs from the first movie, but this time there’s a special guest on each one. “Stonehenge” and “Flower People” will both feature guest Elton John; “Cups and Cakes” features Paul McCartney; and the remake of “Big Bottom” will feature Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
* The thing is, Garth and Trisha both think “Big Bottom” is about each other.
* I think Elton John started in the business when Stonehenge was built, so he sings from personal experience.
* Luckily, they didn’t try to sound contemporary by adding rappers.
* Hollywood is having quite the 80’s flashback. The original Spinal Tap was in 1984, the first Naked Gun movie was in 1988. I’ll be very disappointed if we don’t get a “Xanadu” remake this Christmas.
CLIP: A bit of Elton John and Spinal Tap performing “Stonehenge.”

DEALER REPOS CAR; CAR OWNER TAKES AWAY CAR DEALER’S NAME

Tiah McCreary of Lima, Ohio went to Taylor Kia back in February 2024 and bought 2022 Kia K5. The finance manager helped arrange financing, and she drove off in her K5. However, the finance company later concluded there was not enough information to finalize the loan, so a month after buying the car, Taylor Kia repossessed it while McCreary was at work. McCreary then began to explore her legal options and discovered that the Taylor Automotive Group never registered the business name they use, “Taylor Kia of Lima.” She registered Taylor Kia of Lima in her own name. Then she sent a cease-and-desist letter to Taylor informing them they could no longer use the Taylor Kia name because it was now registered to her. The matter is currently being worked out in court.
* So very much better than a rock through the dealership’s showroom window.
* It would have cost the dealer the price of a used Kia. Now, it’s going to cost them ten times that, even if they win.
* And they’re still going to have to pay for the undercoating.
* Boy, sweet revenge doesn’t happen often, but when it does… it’s wonderful.
* Now think of a way to screw the finance company that retroactively cancels approved financing.

THE WOMAN WITH A BAT IN HER MOUTH

Last August, Erica Kahn was on vacation at Glen Canyon in Arizona when she noticed a few bats flying around while she was taking pictures of the night sky. Then one flew up and got tangled between her camera and her face. She screamed, and part of the bat went in her mouth. She doesn’t know which part or for how long, but it was only a few seconds. The bat flew away. Her father, who is a physician and was traveling with her, said she should go to a hospital and begin vaccinations against rabies. But – Erica had recently given up her health insurance from work. So, she obtained a policy before she went in for two weeks of expensive rabies shots – a total of four doses of the rabies vaccine. Then she got a bill: $20,749. Her new insurance company – Innovative Partners LP – said her policy required a waiting period before coverage. While she is slowly paying off the bills, she is appealing the ruling from the insurance company. Despite everything, she can joke about the experience, saying, “I know what bats taste like now.”
* She’s lucky – look what a bat in the mouth did to Ozzy Osbourne.
* That makes three people who know what a bat tastes like: her, Ozzy Osbourne, and COVID patient zero.
* That’s Innovative Partners Insurance: Insuring Innovative Ways To Avoid Coverage.
* How big was her mouth that the bat thought it was a cave?
* This story has two lessons: 1) Always read the fine print, and 2) When visiting Glen Canyon in Arizona, get the hell out before dusk.

SOCCER PLAYER SUFFERS DOG BITE TO THE TESTICLES

Carles Pérez, a well-known soccer player in Europe, has been hospitalized in Greece after being bitten in the testicles by a dog. Pérez was walking his own dog in Thessaloniki when an unleashed dog attacked his dog and, while trying to separate the two, was himself bitten right in the Thessalonikis. The bite was severe enough to require hospitalization, and he has already spent two days in a hospital. Thessaloniki is known for its population of stray dogs. It’s believed the attacker was not a pet, but a stray that approached quickly and aggressively.
* Their tourist slogan is, “This summer, visit Thessaloniki. But wear a cup.”
* Is it really any worse then getting hit in the ‘nads when they build that human wall 10 feet in front a free kick?
* Well, as they say in England: ball out of play.
* Man’s best friend, my eye.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE HAS LYME DISEASE

Justin Timberlake has the dreaded Lyme disease. The singer, 44, broke the news in an Instagram post on Thursday while marking the end of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. There had been some comments from fans over his ‘tired’ stage performances and ‘lip syncing.’ He said in the post, “I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease – which I don’t say so you feel bad for me – but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes.” Lyme disease is an infection caught from tick bites that causes muscle pain, brain fog, swollen joints and fatigue which can last for a few weeks, but for reasons not yet understood, some patients suffer for years.
