AUDIO: MCDONALD’S INTRODUCES THE FRORK

McDonald’s is rolling out three new sandwiches this Friday – they call them “Signature Crafted Recipes – upscale burgers and chicken sandwiches flavored with Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ Bacon and Maple Bacon Dijon. As a promotional gimmick, the restaurant has come up with a new utensil – the Frork. The Frork is a fork made out of French fries. It looks like a fork, only instead of the prongs of the fork, there’s a slot where you stick three McDonald’s fries and then use them to scoop up any sauce that dripped off your sandwich. They even made a fake informercial featuring TV pitchman Anthony Sullivan. (see clip below) The Frork will be available at participating McDonald’s – in limited supply – or you can order one online.

* What has science done???!!!
* Your move, Burger King.
* Two months ago, McDonald’s came out with a straw that sucks the top and bottom of a multiflavored shake simultaneously. Which begs the question: What they hell are they smoking over at McDonald’s research labs?
* How about combining a fork and a napkin – a forkin’.
* “Signature Crafted Recipes” – give me a break with that.
* Did the McDonald’s corporation sign its official signature or what?
* I have to admit “Sweet BBQ Bacon” is touching a lot of nerves in my appetite.
* Although Maple Bacon Dijon sounds like they just accidentally spilled three things on a table.
* The Frork is made out of French Fries? So instead of trying to make their food better, they’re now making utensils out of the same old stuff.
* Just give us want we want, you morons – McRib sandwiches all year long.
* I say stick a Frork in it. This idea is done.
