THE COUNTRY’S MOST DANGEROUS CITIES
24/7 Wall St. reviewed violent crime rates in major U.S. cities from the FBI’s 2015 Uniform Crime Report. Violent crime includes all offenses involving force or threat of force and are broken into four categories: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. * Time to turn on the ol’ Batsignal.
* That’s it. I’m moving to Chicago, since they’re not on the list so it’s obviously a very, very safe city. (Chicago’s 500th homicide of the year happened over Labor Day weekend.)
* Tallahassee would have come in higher but they don’t count the crimes done by Florida State football players.
* Anchorage, Alaska would be much worse, but it’s a real pain to get all dressed up in layers of warm clothing just to go out and murder somebody.
* The list of Most Dangerous Cities changes if you factor in the latest warnings about the San Andreas Fault.
* To give you some idea of how grim this is, Baghdad would have come in at #7.
* Okay, this is scary stuff, but why focus on this when we’re having so much fun in Syria?
* Just curious: Are there any openings on the space station?
* I still think the most dangerous city is still Washington, D.C. ’cause that’s where the idiots who run this country live.
