Fan company Honeywell Fans partnered with a team of scientists at an environmental consulting company to create a ranking of America’s sweatiest cities. The rankings were based on how much heat is trapped in each metropolitan city. America’s sweatiest cities:
1. Tampa
2. Miami
3. Houston
4. San Diego
5. Orlando
6. Washington, D.C.
7. Raleigh, N.C.
8. Los Angeles
9. Dallas
10. Charlotte, N.C.
* What about when it’s a “dry heat”?
* Sure, “a team of scientists.” Give me a break.
* Just when you were beginning to think environmental consultants were a total scam, they come up with a groundbreaking study like this.
* So how much did this knuckleheaded survey add to the cost of every Honeywell fan?
* I bet they just figured out where the fans were selling and went with that.
* Or maybe they tracked deodorant sales.
* Dry-cleaning bills for “sweat rings”?
* I hate to be a stickler but the cities don’t sweat – the people in the cities sweat.
