FAMILY INSTALLS ALARM FOR WHEN NEIGHBOR’S KIDS PLAY IN BACKYARD
A dispute between two Canadian families escalated after one family put an alarm in their backyard that goes off any time the children next door play outside. Chelsey Reid, of Calgary, said the dispute has been going on for two years. She says her neighbors are constantly complaining about the noise her children, Jax, 5, and his younger sister Nora, 3, make while playing outside. She said her children were kept inside for most of the winter, and it wasn’t until last week that they got to play outside. That’s when she heard the alarm go off for the first time. Reid has tried speaking with the family several times, but to no avail.
* They bring an alarm, you bring an arc light and point it at their house at night. That’s the Calgary way.
* Why are these kids playing outside? Don’t they have smartphones?
* Er, isn’t it louder with the kids outside AND an alarm going off?
* It’s Canada. You’ve got earmuffs. Use ’em.
* What’s with Canada today? Have a bunch of Floridians moved up there?
