CICADAS LANDING ON GUESTS AT AMUSEMENT PARK
Guests at Kings Island amusement park in Lexington, Kentucky, are being warned to keep their mouths closed on amusement park rides because of cicadas. There’s a big cicada invasion this year – Brood 14, it’s called – and the bugs are flying through the air along with the roller coaster riders. Several people shared their experiences on TikTok. Many have found themselves walking around with one on their shirt. The general feeling is: Just enjoy the cicadas and when you’re on a ride, keep your mouth closed.
