THE BUZZNON-ALCOHOLIC BEER SURPASSING ALE IN BEER SALES CATEGORY
Non-alcoholic beer is overtaking ale as the second-largest beer sales category by volume worldwide this year, according to a new projections from industry tracker IWSR. IWSR is projecting that no-alcohol beer will grow by 8% annually through 2029, while ale’s volume is expected to slide 2% annually in that same period. Non-alcohol beer has been gaining popularity as more consumers cut back on their alcohol consumption, prompting brewers to invest in zero-proof alternatives. Gen Z drinks less than prior generations at the same age, and millennials hold the largest share of non-alcohol drinkers, according to IWSR. Younger drinkers use buzzwords like “sober curious” and “damp lifestyle” to describe moderating their alcoholic intake.
* “Cash insolvent” might be another buzz phrase for why kids aren’t drinking.
* I have a friend who lives a “damp lifestyle.” He sweats like you wouldn’t believe.
* Maybe beer doesn’t go along with rizz, as the Gen Zers say. Whatever rizz is. Am I using that word right?
* I remember asking this question when I had my first taste, and I still have it now: Why would anyone drink beer if not for the alcohol, because it certainly isn’t the flavor.
* Coming next: Pot that doesn’t get you high.
LIFE’S LITTLE LUXURIES

– “A good shower head.”
– “Unexpectedly, my latest car comes with cooling seats, it’s even better than AC because it cools exactly where you need it.”
– “A thick, premium bath towel.”
– “Nice pajamas, I feel so good going to bed feeling like a princess.”

* PHONE TOPIC: What little luxury do you have that makes your life better?
U.S. NEWS
STONED HIKERS THOUGHT FRIEND HAD DIED
A pair of New York hikers called police last Saturday to report that their friend had died on the trail, but in fact the hikers were just high on psychedelic mushrooms. Forest rangers received a call from two hikers who said they were lost and that their friend was dead on the Cascade Mountain trail. A ranger went out to recover the two men and quickly determined they were in an altered mental state, having ingested a “psychoactive substance.” The so-called dead friend was also found alive and uninjured; he was just lost, and also high, and the ranger returned him to the group’s campsite.
* Good thing his friends didn’t try to bury him.
* So they were on hike-adelic mushrooms?
* Remember: when you’re hiking in the mountains, don’t trip. Also, don’t trip.
* (play music theme below) When you’re high on mushrooms in a national park, who do you call? The Stoned Ranger! “I’m hiiiigh, Silver!!!”

AUDIO: LITTLE GIRL SINGS DISNEY SONGS TO PASSENGERS ON DELAYED FLIGHT
Passengers on a Delta flight to Orlando, Florida, that had been delayed two hours on the ground and was now circling the destination airport in the sky for another two hours waiting for a spot to land, were subjected to even more torture: a young girl got on the plane’s intercom and started singing Disney songs. A video trending on TikTok shows a little blond-haired girl belting out “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s Moana to passengers.
* “Go sing for the people, honey,” said the mom who obviously hates humanity.
* “I’ll pay $100 right now to anybody with a pair of noise-cancelling headphones! Anybody??”
* She hijacked the plane and took it on a flight to the land of Kill Me Now.
* America’s Got Talent my eye.
* Hakuna Ma-shutup.

GROCERY WORKER GETS 40 FREE SAUSAGE ROLLS FOR 40 YEARS OF SERVICE
Kevin Parsons, 56, has worked at the Alliance supermarket in Guernsey, England, since 1984 – 40 years! – and his boss is recognizing his dedication to the job with a hearty handshake, a certificate of merit, a tropical poster for his home and a free sausage roll for his next 40 work shifts. While Kevin was gracious in receiving the gifts, many people branded them ‘insulting.’ When the story of Kevin’s reward hit the internet, the public was brutal toward his employer:
– “You helped me sell 400,000 sausages over 40 years and I earned millions. Here’s 40 sausages.”
– “This company doesn’t deserve his dedication.”
– “They’re trying to give him a heart attack so they don’t have to pay retirement.”
* So, for 40 years of service, they gave him the farts.
* They offered him 400 sausages but Kevin turned them down ’cause they’re actually not that good.
* They did ask him not to warm the sausage rolls in the break room microwave because they stink up the joint.
* Kevin’s not complaining because, for forty years, he’s probably never paid for groceries.

SEAN COMBS TRIAL: THURSDAY, MAY 29
Here is what happened at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex-and-drug trafficking trial on Wednesday:
– A former assistant, testifying anonymously but using the name “Mia” — said she was also a sexual assault victim of Combs.
– She recalled silently suffering Combs’ sexual assaults – including a horrifying night she woke up to find him “on top of” her. She was not allowed to lock her door.
– “Mia” said he once gave her a shot of vodka to drink. It was making her feel funny. The next thing she knew Combs was kissing her and putting his hands up her dress. The next thing “Mia” recalled is that she woke up mysteriously sitting in the chair in a meeting room of the penthouse with no recollection of how she ended up there.
– She testified that Combs once threw a bowl of spaghetti at her. She said he also threw a computer and turkey meat. There were also times where Combs would require she stay by his side for more than 20 hours without asking her to do anything, she testified. Other times, she would have to do anything from doing his taxes or even cracking his knuckles.
– “Mia” said Combs also sometimes got high at “inappropriate” times such as during a board meeting and once during “The Chelsea Handler Show.”
– During a visit to Burning Man festival, Combs orchestrated a drug “guessing game” using white powders of cocaine, ketamine and MDMA, “Mia” testified. People would take turns snorting the drugs.
