POTATO PERFUME
A Polish perfumer has created a luxury fragrance that captures the earthy aroma of Polish potatoes. Michał Gilbert Lach said his memories of long-ago trips with his grandparents inspired him to create the perfume he calls Polish Potato. Lach says the scent aims to encapsulate the surge of emotions Lach felt as a young boy entering the local vegetable market. “For children today, visiting Disneyland would bring that same excitement. For me, the farmers’ market was a gateway to another world.” The scent is described as opening with earthy notes of beetroot, golden wheat, pine and leather.
* And if you wear it too long in the sun, you smell like French fries.
* If you break a sweat, it combines with a pheromone in the perfume to smell like mashed potatoes and gravy.
* Wear it in the evening and your date will want to come home with you and make soup.
* A dab of vichyssoise behind the ears would accomplish the same thing as Polish Potato.
* Did his grandparents ever take him to the fish market?” Let’s hope not.
