WOMAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT OVER WATER GUN SPRAY

In Simcoe, Canada, a woman was charged with assault with a weapon for accidentally spraying a neighbor during a water gun fight. Wendy Washik, 58, was part of a water gun fight with some neighboring children when another neighbor was hit with what police called “a rogue spray of water.” Washik – a mother of two who works with children with developmental disabilities – was criminally charged. She noted that, in the report that was made public, her full name was disclosed but the type of weapon – a water pistol – wasn’t mentioned. Because of the charge, she was suspended from her 25-year job as an educational assistant until the case goes to court, which will be on September 24.
* Who was the neighbor, the Wicked Witch of the West?
* She sounds like a real drip.
* Good thing it wasn’t water balloons, she’d be in solitary.
* This is what happens when, frankly, you rip your kids away from the safety of a video game and send them outside to play in the sunshine.
