POTATO CHIP FACTORY BURNS DOWN
In Hartland, New Brunswick, a fire destroyed the Covered Bridge Potato Chips factory on Friday. Around 30 employees were safely evacuated. The factory was a major employer in the town. Local resident Kelly Gillin said, “It’s a potato chip plant — there’s nothing in there but grease and packed greasy potato chips. It smelt like burnt grease. It was really raunchy.”
* The place was fried.
* There hasn’t been a grease fire like this since the stadium flame at the Athens Olympics.
* 30 employees who can’t go to work. That’s no small potatoes.
* The Canadian firefighters kept spraying vinegar on the place instead of water.
* Wise Potato Chips said they would gladly take all the burned chips. And the green ones, if they have any.
