BANANAS THAT DON’T TURN BROWN AND SAVE THE PLANET
Tropic, a United Kingdom-based agriculture-biotechnology company, has developed a gene-edited banana that doesn’t turn brown, isn’t susceptible to Panama disease, and can help reduce food waste and carbon dioxide pollution. According to the Tropic company, over 60% of exported bananas go to waste. What’s more, by cutting down on banana waste, non-browning bananas could cut supply chain carbon pollution by 25% – equal to the removal of two million passenger vehicles from the road annually – and “significantly reduce food waste.”
* Fewer tailpipes to stick bananas in.
* Are they saying if we don’t buy their bananas, they’re going to take away our cars?
* We could save a lot of trees if Disney would stop putting their stupid little Disney Princess stickers on them.
* DUH!!! If over 60% of exported bananas go to waste, just export 60% fewer bananas! Morons!
* Now do avocados.
