AUSTRALIAN TEEN BITTEN BY HIDDEN POISONOUS OCTOPUS

An Australian teenager, Jacob Eggington, was looking for seashells for his young niece at popular Shoalwater Beach, south of Perth. He found a shell and put it in his pocket. When Jacob took the shell out of his pocket to give to his niece, a deadly blue-ringed octopus popped out and bit him. A few moments later he had a severe reaction. The 18-year-old had to be stretchered off the beach by paramedics and was taken to the hospital for six hours of treatment.
