IMPROVING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH
Some people seem quite relaxed and happy all the time. Others aren’t. Reddit asked, “What massively improved your mental health?” Some of the responses:
– “Sleep”
– “Quit teaching high school. So much less stress I finally quit smoking.”
– “Learning to say no.”
– “Knowing it’s okay to leave some people behind.”
– “Knowing that it’s ok to be left behind.”
– “Removed myself from all social media and quit caring about other peoples’ opinions of me.”
– “Getting outside.”
– “Going for regular walks has improved my mental health a ton.”
– “Making my bed in the morning and having a routine.”
– “Birding. I installed an app that identifies what kind it is. Even if I’m just wandering around my backyard, it still gets me outside and in the sun.”

– “The unconditional love of an animal has lifted me out of some pretty dark places.”

– “Having kids. All of a sudden I couldn’t stay in my own head and had to take care of their needs. It helped me become less self centered. That said, it’s not for everyone.”
