BRACH’S CANDY CORN FALL FLAVORS

Everybody SAYS they hate candy corn, but yet there it is, every year, back on the shelves at Halloween time, which means right now, two months away. Brach’s, makers of candy corn, has come up with a new lineup of fall flavored candy corn: kettle corn, caramel apple, cotton candy, lemonade shake-up, strawberry funnel cake, and lemon-lime snow cone. A writer for The Takeout food website asked his family and neighbors to give the new flavors a taste test. Here are the highlights:
– Cotton Candy: “Tastes like Play-Doh.”
– Strawberry Funnel Cake: “did not taste like cake and didn’t particularly taste like strawberry. It offered hints of strawberry chapstick.”
– Caramel Apple: “It tastes most like a candle, so it’s the best one.”
– Kettle Corn: “It tastes exactly like a Jelly Belly Buttered Popcorn jellybean.”
– Lemon-Lime Snow Cone: “No one hated this one.”
– Lemonade Shake Up: “We were impressed with the accuracy of the lemonade, not lemon, flavor.”
