1,100 DOLLY PARTONS IN IRELAND

The small town of Listowel, Ireland, held a “Dolly Parton Day” over the weekend. They set a record for the most Dolly Partons in one place. Fans were supposed to dress up on Saturday wearing Dolly Parton costumes — blonde wigs, cowboy boots, and western-style hats. Oh – and tatas ’til Tuesday. Over 1,100 participants showed up in costume. It will take several weeks to determine if the event set a world record.
* If it doesn’t, the event will have been quite a bust.
* I’m going to go way out on a limb here and guess there usually aren’t a whole lot of reasons to visit Listowel, Ireland.
* Just look at the pictures, make the count, and divide by two to get the number of Dollys.
* They held a Riverdancing contest for all the Dollys, but there was so much bouncing contestants kept knocking themselves unconscious.
