THE BEST STATE TO SURVIVE AN ALIEN INVASION: VIRGINIA

Virginia has been determined to be the U.S. state best prepared to deal with an alien invasion. The rankings come from the “njcasino” website, which examined a series of factors including population density, number of UFO sightings, topographical features like caves, forests, bodies of water, and defense in the form of military or law enforcement. (* Caves is #1 ’cause creatures that can meet the challenge of crossing billions of miles of space would never think of looking for us in caves. On a planet they’ve studied intensely before invading. Yup. And hiding in a forest would work almost as good, so it’s #2.) They came up with a survivability score for every state.

– The Top Ten States for Surviving an Alien Invasion: Virginia, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Louisiana, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, Alabama and Wisconsin.
– The Bottom Ten: Utah, Maine, New Mexico, Montana, Oregon, Nebraska, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona and… it’s been nice knowing you, Nevada.
* Virginia wins because there’s no way the aliens are going to be able to maneuver with the amount of traffic on those highways.
* Does this mean Virginians, as a citizenry, are most prepared for anal probes?
* California ranks #20, which is mostly safe because aliens would soon find Californians are just like them!
* This is the stupidest thing ever. What REALLY counts is being able to survive a Zombie Apocalypse.
* Sorry, but this story is ignoring the most obvious conclusion of all: The people at the “njcasino” website need to STOP GOOFING OFF AND GET BACK TO WORK.
