1 IN 8 THINK THEY COULD SUCCESSFULLY ROB A BANK
European TV channel Sky History took a survey of 2,000 adults who enjoy watching crime dramas and movies. Here’s what they found:
– One in eight believe they could successfully pull off a bank robbery, using tips learned from film and television.
– One out of three believe a key skill in any robbery is being a master of disguise.
– Three in 10 actually think they could solve a robbery, if given the clues.
– 25% said they wouldn’t report their partner to the police if they found out they had committed a bank robbery.
* 1 in 8, huh? So, the other 7 get caught? Sounds about right.
* Does this include having to bend and squeeze your way through a bunch of red laser beams?
* I’ve gotten away with more than a few bank pens in my day. So, yeah, I could pull off a heist.
* By the way, you one-in-eight people – thanks for taking the survey, and your information has been passed on to Interpol.
* By the way, people who think they could successfully rob a bank using tips they saw in the movies – have you ever noticed the movie always ends with them getting caught?
