MAN FAKE-KIDNAPS GIRLFRIEND TO PROPOSE

A man in Sydney, Australia thought it would be a good idea to fake the kidnapping of his girlfriend during a trip to Lebanon and then, as they ripped off the blindfold, propose to her. A TikTok video shows the girlfriend, Vanessa Moujalli, happily drinking coffee in the back seat of a car with her sister, taking in the sights of Lebanon. They are interrupted by men holding fake guns and dragging the screaming women from their seats. The fake kidnappers push Vanessa, who is screaming, into another vehicle and blindfold her. She’s driven to a mystery location, pulled from the car, still blindfolded, and led across a path where, as her blindfold is removed, live music starts playing and her family members join her. Vanessa burst into tears when she realized Adam Rizk, her boyfriend of 10 years, was standing in front of her holding a large bouquet of flowers. As he got down on one knee to propose, she starts sobbing and laughing. Mr. Rizk’s sister Tahlia said that Vanessa always wanted to be proposed to in Lebanon and she was “genuinely happy” with the engagement.
