INDIAN BRIDE DIES AT THE ALTAR; FAMILY SENDS SISTER IN AS REPLACEMENT

In Bhavnagar, India last week, a woman died in front of the Bhagwaneshwar Mahadev Temple just as she was about to be married. The bride, named Hetal, reportedly said she felt dizzy before fainting. Then, she died of a heart attack after she was rushed to a hospital nearby. As the family mourned her death, they decided to that the groom should then marry Hetal’s younger sister instead, so as not to send the bridegroom and his family away empty-handed.
* Said the groom, “Meh. Sure. Whatever. Where’s the cake?”
* I think Hetal got the best part of this deal.
* Wait – this is bait-and-switch. Isn’t that illegal?
* The younger sister’s like, “Well, THIS day sure turned out different than I thought it would …”
* A dowry can be a strong motivator.
