UGANDAN MAN HAS 102 CHILDREN
A Ugandan man named Musa Hasahya Kasera has so many children he can’t remember most of their names. He says he has 12 wives, 102 children (aged 10-50) and 578 grandchildren, and now feels enough is enough. His wives now take birth control to stop the family expanding further. They live in a rapidly dilapidating house with a rusted corrugated iron roof, along with two dozen grass-thatched mud huts nearby. At one point, he was a cattle trader and butcher but now, at 68 years old, his health is failing. He’s currently unemployed but has become something of a tourist attraction in his village. Why so many kids? Because he was one of only two children in his family, he was advised by relatives and friends to marry many wives to produce many children to “expand the family heritage.”
* Yeah, well now it’s time to keep the family heritage in the family pants.
* How is he a tourist attraction? Do they come to watch him procreate?
* You know the problem with 102 children and 578 grandchildren? They always call, they always write…
* This family’s carbon footprint is so large, it’s in violation of the Kyoto climate accords.
* If it weren’t for group texting, no one would know when dinner was ready.
