NEWBIE FLIGHT ATTENDANT DEPLOYS EMERGENCY CHUTE FIRST DAY ON JOB

A British Airways flight attendant – first day on the job – accidentally deployed the jet’s inflatable slide while the plane was backing away from the gate at Heathrow Airport. Emergency crews rushed to the aircraft thinking it was about to be evacuated, until they learned that it was just a mistake. Passengers were delayed for about four hours.
* And they let everybody play on the slide like a bouncy castle while they were waiting.
* You’d think they’d have covered “What does this button do?” in flight attendant school.
* The whole thing could have been averted with one little Post-It Note.
* This is gonna be a great story at the guy’s retirement party. Which will probably be next Monday.
* I don’t think management’s going to let it SLIDE.
