NICE MAN BUYS ICE CREAM FOR EVERY KID ON FERRY BOAT

In British Columbia last week, a Gulf Islands ferry boat was sailing from Galiano Island to Tsawwassen on Jan. 2, when an announcement came over the PA system: “A generous man has just offered to pay for every kid’s ice cream, so free ice cream in the boat’s cafeteria for anyone under 16.” Kids rushed to the cafeteria. The count was five large and 11 small, total was just over $70. The kind stranger was a regular traveller on the ferry who wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year, according to a BC ferries official.
* Or maybe he just wanted some peace and quiet in the front of the ship, where he was sitting.
* Nothing like a cold cup of ice cream on a freezing day in January!
* “And hey, kids, there are also presents hidden down in the bilge!”
* Then the man paid the ferry captain to bring all the children to Pleasure Island, where he turned them into donkeys.
* Here you are on a boring old ferry boat and it turns out to be the Good Ship Lollipop.
