DISTURBING TREND: PARENTS DRESS AS THE GRINCH, STEAL PRESENTS

There’s another disturbing trend on TikTok: Parents are dressing up as the Grinch, barging into their own homes, and pretending to steal the presents under the tree, as their children watch. Several viral videos have been circulating showing the moment a parent shocks the children walking through the doors dressed in a Grinch costume and starts taking the presents. Some kids run away screaming in fear and some freeze and cry in panic, and some start fighting back. Many online commenters accuse parents of traumatizing their kids with the viral Grinch prank.
* “What can Santa bring you this Christmas, Timmy?” “Trust issues.”
* Although, in one video, the kid is going, “Here, take this present from Aunt Cora. She always gives me socks and underwear.”
* I believe it was Dr. Seuss himself who gave us that famous quote: “What is wrong with you people?”
* So what? Kids traumatize us when they almost choke on a Lego, so fair’s fair.
* If anybody should dress up as the Grinch to steal stuff, it’s porch pirates.
* PHONE TOPIC: Is this a clever joke? Is pranking your kids wrong?
