The City Council of Melbourne, Australia has issued a public warning after a cockatoo was filmed picking up potted plants on an apartment balcony and then dropping them onto the sidewalk four stories below. The video filmed on Monday shows the sulphur-crested cockatoo on apartment building, happily dropping the plants as bystanders watched. A man riding past on a mobility scooter was among those almost hit. The city council was made aware of the footage and has urged residents to remove potted plants and other sources of food from apartment balconies to stop attracting birds. Cockatoos have become a pest in many urban areas.
