MAN CREATES CALENDAR FEATURING UK PARKING LOTS

In the UK, Kevin Beresford spent several months traveling the entire country reviewing parking lots – “car parks” as they call them there. Righteo. Anyway, the 70-year-old compiled pictures of his 12 favorite parking lots into what he’s calling the most boring calendar of 2023.
– Edinburgh Airport’s multi-story garage with spiral ramps is January’s picture.
– The Waterloo Street garage in Glasgow is June’s featured lot, with its striking wooden beams.
– Duncansby Head car park in the Highlands, north of John o’ Groats (* Are we still speaking English?) was chosen for the calendar because it has the best views.
When judging what makes a good parking lot, Kevin takes into consideration lighting, price and aesthetics of the spaces. For example, his favorite lot is The Trinity Street car park in Birmingham, in the neighborhood known as Digbeth.
