QUEEN ELIZABETH ON AN 8-DAY TOUR

The body of Queen Elizabeth is on an 8-day tour of the UK, before she reaches her final resting place. Over the weekend, her coffin took a six-hour journey from Balmoral Castle in Scotland, passed through the cities of Aberdeen and Dundee, reaching the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. On Tuesday, she’s heading to London, then the following day the coffin will be moved again, from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall for the lying in state, which will end on the morning of the state funeral.
* I know, I know… you’re thinking, “But she’s dead,” but, well, she had the tickets paid for and the hotel reservations booked, and you know how frugal she was…
* At least it’s not a bicycling tour.
* Some tour. She’s missing Hadrian’s Wall and Stonehenge.
* Must be a relief not to have to wave her hand the whole time.
